This is what you bring

At least 4-5 years of work experience in a similar or relevant role (e.g. lead engineer, senior developer).
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Proficiency in software development technologies and methodologies, with hands-on experience in designing, implementing and delivering complex software solutions, either in the Azure stack or other cloud environments.
Having managed multiple teams using the scrum management framework.
Experienced in understanding customer requirements and translating them into product requirements.
Proven track record of successfully managing software development project from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and address technical challenges and make informed decisions to overcome obstacles.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

What will you do in this position?

The Development Team Lead, reporting directly to the Chief Data Officer (CDO), will be leading the Data Platform DevOps & Architecture team in the KPMG Data Office. As the Development Team Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the success of our software development projects. Leading a team of talented developers, you'll guide and inspire them to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet our clients' needs and exceed expectations. With your strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and project management experience, you'll oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and delivery.

As a development team lead you will be doing the following. Leading the development team by creating a clear vision, setting goals, motivate the team, communicate technical decisions and justifying them with logical-based arguments to the developers.

Translating company strategies into development tasks, managing and prioritizing the product backlog, facilitating their work, removing dependencies both within and outside the team while coaching developers to adopt a senior way-of-work.

You have to monitor team progress, calculating velocity, and predicting a reliable planning to ensure transparency and visibility, while effectively managing stakeholder expectations.

Communicating effectively with various stakeholders, including clients and management, to manage expectations and provide updates on project progress.
