We are looking for a Lead Domain Architect with the focus on the Data Management and Enterprise Data Assets capabilities. You have an architectural vision how to optimally make use of, and make adjustments to the CDO owned data capabilities, so that we can help ABN AMRO to become more data driven. And you are able to radiate your vision to the domain architects you manage so that you can maintain course and the domain architects can apply your vision into their daily job.

Your job

As a Lead Domain Architect you are a connector and responsible for the architecture support of IT changes that are carried out by all the IT teams within the CDO department. Your job is to guard the architectural integrity of the data management capabilities and connect the dots with the other areas that we work together with, such as Enterprise Architecture, the Grids and Data Domains and the P&T department. While being the manager of the Domain Architects, you are the sparring partner of the IT leads, the Grid Owners and you are part of the MT Data Engineering. You play an important role in the implementation of the IT strategy of the bank based on architectural standards and FSA’s that you align with the Enterprise Architects. 

Complexity of the job is in facilitating and supporting the domain architects that balance their knowledge of both application architecture and enterprise architecture so that solutions fit in the future state architecture. Sometimes, you need to find the right trade-off between target state choices versus immediate business value.  
You will have the overview and support the quality of architecture and you are able to translate this information to colleagues. Together you will oversee the creation of the architecture required and solutions to meet business demand. A Lead Domain Architect has technical expertise, a long term vision, product knowledge and soft skills. All activities of the Lead Domain Architect are based on creation of long term value keeping the future state architecture in mind.

Your profile

You have an eye for the challenges that architecture offers. You deliver quality with your team, but you can also be pragmatic if necessary. In addition, you must be able to deal with architecture at a strategic level. We are looking for a team player who can move effortlessly between different teams and stakeholders. Someone who is able to make the right decisions about short and long-term architecture choices and who enables the delivery teams to work independently on IT delivery.
 
Do you think you are the right fit? Check your profile:

-       At least 7 years relevant experience

-       HBO/WO education level

-       Experience with data governance, data management solutions, data quality solutions, enterprise and reference data

-       Togaf and Archimate certified. A good understanding of Domain Driven Architecture is very helpful

-       DevOps & Agile way of working

-       Solid people management skills, knows how to make people better and coach them in the right steps of their career

-       Excellent communicator, being crisp and concise
 

Soft skills:    

Vision in the field of data architecture and in this being the director towards the teams.

-       Being able to easily translate complex matters to stakeholders

-       Team player

-       Communication skills with both senior management and developers
