As Programme Manager Data & AI a.i. you will be replacing the current programme manager during maternity leave and will be responsible during May – November 2024 for the Future Ready workstream Data & AI in which you work closely together NN’s Chief Analytics Officer.
The aim of the workstream is to use Data & AI to maximise business value and become a customer-centric data-driven organization that uses Data & AI to delight our customers, create efficiencies and inspire all data-driven individuals to do the same. As the orchestrator, you align the different projects within the workstream to the heartbeat necessary to realize the successful implementation of the strategic initiative(s). You focus primarily on central monitoring of NN’s AI use cases and are in close contact with the project leads of our data governance and data literacy initiatives. In addition, you are excellent in planning but you know that success comes from execution and will therefore be the driving force and first point of contact for Data & AI within NN’s Future Ready strategy. Besides working as a programme manager if necessary, you are also able to step in as a project leader.
You possess execution power (get things done even without hierarchical mandate; use influence rather than control) and are result orientated (are able to lead and support team to realize strategic and complex change objectives). You have strong stakeholder management and communication skills - Bring people together (have a clear focus on collaboration), you show a high level of organizational sensitivity (because of your analytical skills and deep under-standing of the underlying issues, opportunities and dynamics of the organization you are broadly accepted as a sparring partner and advisor). You have strong analytical skills (quickly find the core problem) and bring planning and structure to the projects/ programme. You can transform an innovative idea in an understandable story.
In order to do so you are responsible for the following activities:
- Drive strategic execution with a hands-on and no-nonsense approach
- Manage change agenda and ensure projects deliver planned objectives and value
- Integrate project plans and business cases into an overall execution plan
- Support project teams with project management activities and highlight key programme interdependencies
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders and manage workstream budgets and reporting on progress
In order to do so you are responsible for the following activities during this temporary assignment:
- Prepare Data & AI Executive Boards twice per quarter
- Manage central monitoring of NN's AI use cases and prepare report on progress for NN's Management Board every quarter
- Assist in organizing the Data & AI Community Event in October
- Act as the first point of contact for NN's Future Ready strategy team, assisting in the development of OKRs and reporting on the whole programme in Project Online
- Act as the business manager to NN's Chief Analytics Officer, preparing all necessary reporting, updates, and presentations. Additionally, conduct a Data Monetisation Assessment in collaboration with Data Officer

- Bachelor/master degree plus a minimum of 5 years of experience within a large corporate preferably financial industry
- Result oriented, well-organized, creative with excellent problem solving, analytical and influencing skills
- Experienced in managing complex projects with multidisciplinary teams; proven project & stakeholder management skills
- Excellent financial skills: the ability to analyze and structure information with strong content focus, deep understanding of the strategy, initiatives and its business cases

- Experienced in telling a complex story in an understandable slide
- Verbal and written communications skills in English
- A typical challenge in your role is dealing with multiple stakeholders across different BUs. Vital is that you are flexible, have the ability to gain peoples trust and are service oriented

Customer & Digital (C&D) connects the Business Units of Nationale-Nederlanden with our joint customer. This means we take care of all generic systems, platforms, capabilities and service desks that are used within NN to service our customer. As an example you can think of the digital client portals, the app, the chatbot-technology which is being further developed and used and the expertise like Research, UX Design and Data Science within the whole company.
You will be part of the Strategy, Finance and Control team. You will work in the Strategy team in close interaction with Dutch business units and will be reporting to the Head of Strategy, Finance and Control.
The Strategy team is the linking pin and has an orchestrating role towards the Dutch Strategy/ NL workstreams organized across business units and will support strategy execution, decision making processes by proving/monitoring the strategic effectiveness and facilitating a uniform way of working (method, process, consistency, reporting) via PMO capabilities. The Strategy team consisted of 5 programme managers and 1 Portfolio Manager.
