EY is looking for a Quantitative Advisory Services Senior Manager with a Credit Risk focus based in our Amsterdam office.  As part of the Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) practice you will provide a well-integrated broad array of risk management services to financial institutions with a focus on quantitative credit risk- related service offerings.
 
We offer our clients comprehensive solutions to industry wide challenges, including IRB, IFRS 9, Stress Testing, end to end credit life cycle modeling.

The Quantitative Advisory Services (QAS) team focuses on applying quantitative techniques within the financial risk management of financial institutions. In addition to the traditional quantitative work in the credit and market risk areas, the QAS team focuses on new topics such as Generative AI and integrating ESG into financial risk models. Our services include a broad spectrum of solutions, from developing a financial risk model to supporting clients in major risk management transformations.

The office

Our office in Amsterdam is located on the Zuidas: a bustling area where many companies are based. In our Cross Towers, as many as 1000 people are welcomed daily. Haven't had breakfast yet? Responsibilities – How can you make a lasting impact in a rapidly changing world?

  • Build valued relationships with external clients and internal peers and develop a portfolio of business by focusing on high impact opportunities.
  • Lead large/complex engagements and manage key client relationships in the credit risk modeling space e.g. IRB, IFRS 9, stress testing, credit decisioning across model development, validation, and review functions.
  • Contribute in other quantitative and analytical areas such as forecasting and stress testing, customer behavior modeling, and new innovations such as machine learning and artificial intelligence.  
  • Mentor junior team members and lead their professional and personal development.

Job requirements – Where do you start if you want to change the world?

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience in quantitative credit risk.
  • A Master’s degree/PhD in quantitative finance, econometrics, mathematics, engineering or equivalent.
  • Perform a project leadership role on credit risk assignments, including negotiating scope and budgets, managing and contributing to delivery, performing technical review of work completed and ensuring deliverables meet both client expectations and EY standard
  • Deep understanding of modeling techniques and practical experience in credit risk model development and/or model validation projects such as PD, LGD, EAD, IFRS 9 models or models to tackle business-related challenges
  • Assist partners and directors with generating new business opportunities and building client networks and relationships
  • Programming/scripting language and tooling experience. 
  • AI/Machine Learning experience.
  • Related certification is a plus (e.g., FRM, CPA/ CA, CFA)

    • Salary: in addition to your fixed salary, depending on EY's financial performance, you may be eligible for a bonus. You are also entitled to an expense allowance (depending on the function) and an internet allowance of €40 net per month.
    • Time off: you are entitled to 34 vacation days per year when full-time employed.
    • Sabbatical: the option to take unpaid leave after consultation.
    • Birth leave: EY will pay 100% of the birth leave, in case of an additional birth leave EY will pay 70% of the salary.
    • Training and education: EY believes it's important for everyone to always have the opportunity to further develop yourself. We therefore offer you the opportunity to take part in various soft & hard skills training, external courses and/or sign up for an additional education. For example, obtaining an MBA to broaden your skills in Leadership, Business and Tech.
    • Mobility: Contribute directly to our ambition to reduce EY's carbon footprint to zero by 2025.     • Bicycle arrangement: finance the purchase cost of your new bicycle from your gross monthly salary (purchase cost amount divided over 12 months) or from your non-statutory holiday entitlement.
    • Pension scheme: you will build up a pension capital directly after your start at EY. Each month the available premium amount is transferred for you in an investment account at our pension provider. You will also have the option to build up additional pension capital on a voluntary basis.
